From our inception in 1938 as the first instrumentation company in Alberta, to our growth into Saskatchewan and British Columbia, CENTRIX continues to be a premier distributor of quality instrumentation and controls products across Western Canada. Our name may have changed over the years, but our commitment to our valued customers remains the same.
1938
- Barber Engineering and Controls is founded.
1958
- Ashcroft product line is added.
1960
- Baker Hughes-Consolidated Relief Valves product line is added.
1973
- Pall Air Dryers-SPX PPC product line is added.
1975
- Smith Meters and Systems-TechnipFMC product line is added.
- Dresser Roots Meters-DNGS product line is added.
1978
- Baker Hughes-Masoneilan Control Valves product line is added.
1979
- Dresser Couplings-DNGS product line is added.
1986
- Barber Engineering and Controls expands into British Columbia with BG Controls.
1987
- Fontaine product line is added.
1988
- Preso Meters-Badger Meter product line is added.
- WIKA product line is added in BC.
- Severn-Trent product line is added in BC.
- Thermo Ramsey product line is added in BC.
1993
- Barber Engineering and Controls expands into Saskatchewan, opening up Barber Valve.
1994
- Invalco-TechnipFMC product line is added.
1996
- Research Control Valves-Badger Meter product line is added.
1999
- Sureflow Strainers product line is added.
2001
- Challenger Valve product line is added.
2008
- Barber Engineering and Controls is purchased by CORIX Infrastructure Inc.
- Barber Group becomes CORIX Control Solutions.
2013
- Endress+Hauser product line is added in BC.
2015
- Expansion in BC with the purchase of Interior Instruments.
2017
- Protego product line is added.
- Ultimo product line is added.
2018
- The Deschênes Group acquires CORIX Control Solutions.
2019
- Watson McDaniel product line is added.
- CORIX Control Solutions becomes CENTRIX Control Solutions, now a proud family member of the Deschênes Group.
